Contact-sensitive packaging [PPWR definition]
Definition of Contact-sensitive packaging PPWR (effective from 12 August 2026)
Packaging intended for products for which EU legislation imposes requirements on the composition of the packaging material due to direct contact (human and animal) with the product. This includes:
- Food contact packaging;
- Packaging for medicinal products;
- Packaging for products intended to come into contact with the skin, such as cosmetics;
- Packaging for medical devices.
