Plastic [PPWR definition]
Plastic is a material consisting of a polymer (a long chain of molecules). Additional substances, such as colorants or additives, may be added to this polymer. The material can be an important structural component of packaging.
Natural polymers that have not been chemically modified (such as natural rubber) are not included here.
